Our Story

About Our Equestrian Club in Southwest Ranches, FL

A family equestrian tradition that began in France in the 1980s, carried forward on a modern South Florida property built for serious sport.

A legacy carried forward

L'Écurie is the continuation of a family equestrian tradition that began in France in the 1980s. From Château de la Tour Loisel to South Florida, decades of horsemanship, discipline and respect for the horse continue to shape everything we do. The barn in Southwest Ranches is not a new idea; it is the same idea, in a new place, with better tools.

To us, legacy is not simply a history to celebrate. It is a responsibility to uphold. It means preserving the principles that develop sound, confident and capable horses: exceptional care, precise nutrition, immaculate surroundings, patient training and uncompromising attention to detail.

What we believe about horses

We believe true performance is never built through shortcuts. It is developed over time, through consistency, trust and a deep understanding of each horse as an individual. Every decision begins with the horse, because lasting success can only be achieved when welfare, correct development and performance move forward together.

In practice that means we will tell an owner a horse is not ready. It means we will take a horse down a height rather than push through a bad month. It means the quiet horse in the corner stall gets the same standard of care as the one winning classes. Owners who want a barn that will always take the horse's side tend to stay with us for years.

The team

The barn is run day to day by an operating manager and barn manager, with a head trainer responsible for the riding program and approving every lesson, trainer ride and lunge on the schedule. Grooms and care staff work in small, consistent teams so the same hands are on the same horses. Everyone on the property is accountable to a written care plan rather than to habit.

We work closely with independent veterinarians, farriers, bodyworkers and nutritionists. Clients keep their own professionals when they wish; we coordinate the appointments, hold the horse and record the outcome.

Modern tools, traditional standards

Every client has an account in the L'Écurie member portal, where the weekly plan, health documents, photographs, boarding agreements, messages and invoices all live in one place. Notifications reach owners by email and phone when something is scheduled, approved, rescheduled or billed. Transparency is not a feature we added; it is how a barn built on trust ought to operate.
